Overview
Deeezy is a website that empowers creative professionals by offering high-quality digital assets like fonts, lettering, mockups, textures, and more. Acting as a marketplace, it allows designers to upload and monetize their work based on download activity. Clients can access free resources or purchase premium items, either through a subscription with unlimited downloads or by using credits purchased in advance.
While the platform offered incredible value to designers and clients alike, the outdated website was becoming a constraint. With a frontend that lacked modern polish and a backend that required optimizations, Deeezy sought a complete revamp to elevate both aesthetics and performance.
We overhauled the site starting with a fresh, light, and responsive frontend built using Nuxt.js. This modern approach emphasized simplicity and speed, creating an intuitive interface for users. On the backend, we retained Symfony (as required for the project) and fine-tuned its performance to meet the demands of a growing user base. Significant caching efforts, lazy-loading strategies, and image optimizations helped drive performance improvements across the platform.
For storage and downloads, we integrated Cloudflare and Backblaze to ensure efficient delivery with minimal latency. The payment systems were upgraded to support seamless transactions via Braintree and PayPal. Login and registration processes were enhanced with Google and Facebook authentication options to complement standard username-and-password signups. Finally, email and newsletter systems were migrated to AWS, providing cost-effective and scalable solutions.
The result? A high-performing, visually engaging website that meets the needs of designers and clients while remaining scalable for future growth.
